Hello Bob,
I am sure you can use Englisch in your future posts.
Most of us are quite well in reading englisch, because more than ten years ago the german Battletech publishers cancel german translatet rule and core books.
Two years ago we receive a german Total Warefare.
But neverless I have a question:
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/CBT_Tables
The modifiers for Water, that the Mech in the Water is better to hit and has a aditional modifier for his weapon attacks.
I can't find this in my Total Warefare (early English version). Is there a errata or so?
Sorry for my bad English, I only read a lot in English and watch a lot Movies in English. I seldom speak it or as you can see write it often.

Okay, I did't write in english initially because most forums don't like it when you write in another language. I will write in english from now on if that's okay.

Your english is just fine, sir.
As for the issue, I'm not sure where it is as I don't have the source; the only sources I have are the video games, some novels, and what few free PDF's I could find. I'll ask some of the editors over at the wiki and will get back to you as soon as possible.
Does any one else have things to report?

Yeah I know, in another Battletech forum someone told a american novel-autor he should write in German... even his post began with a initial excuse...

Hi Bob and hi Cunny,
the entry at sarna.net is wrong. As in all Total Warfare editions (including newest erratas), the rule is more simple.
A Mech standing in Depth 1 water receives +1 for partial cover and receives the full effects of partial cover. No other modifiers will be applied. See Total Warfare page 108 or tables appendix in Total Warfare.
The rule sarna.net presented is an obsolete one.
As for your question:
i´m reading sarna.net nearly every day. primary for background/fluff reasons. if i´ll find a mistake/error, i will report it to you, helping in improving sarna!
Your site is great, so please carry on!

Okay, I made the change; does that look right? Or would it be the "-1 to hit" line that should be removed?

According to Total Warfare it is just the +1 partical cover modifier for the attacker firing upon the defender (standing in water). Nothing else. No other modifiers applied.
In short:
Attacker: +1 (firing on target)
Target: gains benefits of partial cover

Okay, I changed the page; does that look right now? The <target> standing in the water is harder to hit so the <attacker> gets a +1 to their roll? The <target> also gets partial cover benefits? I'm pretty sure that that's what you meant. It should be fixed on the Sarna article now. Sorry about the confusion...
